Safe Harbor was founded by a group of concerned citizens in 1992 in response to
the plight of homeless people who were routinely sleeping on the Courthouse
steps and around the downtown area of West Chester. We continue to effectively
serve the homeless with both volunteers and professional staff. From preparing
and serving meals, to working with our residents in the shelter, volunteers
account for over half the time dedicated to helping people who come to us
seeking shelter and rehabilitation. Contributions, both financial and personal,
are always welcome.
